Frequently Asked Questions

Why are the lenses red? Can’t I just use clear blue-blockers?

Clear "computer glasses" typically only block 10& of blue light (wavelengths of up to 420nm). To protect your melatonin, you must block 100% of blue light AND green light up to 500nm. A red lens is best suited to physically achieve this cutoff.

Can I still see my screen clearly?

Yes. While the world will appear monochromatic (red), your eyes will adjust within minutes. Text remains sharp, and contrast is actually enhanced for reading. You can continue to work, watch, or scroll without the hormonal cost.

Will the clip-on fit my specific glasses?

Our VA7 Clip-On is engineered with a universal high-tension spring bridge. It is designed to fit majority of standard prescription frames. The soft rubber "jacket" ensures it grips without scratching your lenses.

What time exactly should I start wearing them?

While we recommend the "7 PM Protocol", you should minimally put them on 2–3 hours before your target sleep time. If you plan to sleep at 11 PM, put them on at 8 PM. This largely aligns with your body's natural cortisol drop.

Is it safe to wear them while walking around the house?

Yes, but be aware that red lenses alter depth perception and color recognition (e.g., you may not see a green LED light). Exercise caution until you are used to the shift in vision. Do not drive while wearing them.

How do I clean my VA7 eyewear?

Use only the provided microfiber cloth. For deeper cleans, use a mild lens cleaner or lukewarm water with a drop of pH-neutral dish soap. Avoid alcohol-based cleaners.
